Tropical Morning Smoothie Bowl
This tropical morning smoothie bowl makes for a great nutritional breakfast. Balanced with protein, from the milk, yoghurt and protein powder, carbohydrates from the granola and fruit, and healthy fats from the nut butter, it will keep you feeling full and satiated and help you stay on top of mid-morning cravings.
The milk and yoghurt can be substituted for non-dairy alternatives.
Prep time: 5 mins, freeze fruit the night before for a thicker smoothie
Serves 1
Ingredients
1 banana, frozen
1/4 red dragon fruit
1 serving protein powder, here I used Body Inner Beauty Support by The Beauty Chef
2 tbsp Greek yoghurt
1 tbsp nut butter of choice
Sprinkle of cinnamon
1 cup milk of choice
Ice cubes, if want added thickness
Toppings - pick and choose your favourites
1/4 cup granola, here I used my Maple & Vanilla Granola
Fresh fruit, such as dragon fruit, strawberries, passionfruit
1 tbsp coconut flakes
1 tbsp choc nibs
Method
Place the banana, dragon fruit, protein powder, yoghurt, nut butter, cinnamon, milk and ice in a high-powered blender and blend until smooth and creamy. If too thick, add more liquid. If not thick enough, add more ice.
Pour smoothie into a bowl and sprinkle with desired toppings.
