Firstly, life is way too (insert swear word) short to miss out on eating with your family. One day the people you love aren’t going to be around and if you waste this short time you have with them and choose making your own “perfect” healthy salad over impromptu burgers by the beach.
Now I want to preface that this post is not about a skinny girl complaining about how difficult it is to put on weight…..boo hoo even I say. Rather I want to let you in on a story, which I personally think is never told.
This time last year there would have been no way that I would have eaten, let alone made all of these recipes. I am so proud of the little collection I have been growing (and enjoying eating) for you.
Who says you can’t have your cake and eat it too!
Scales to me now are as useless as a one-legged man in an ass kicking contest. What’s the point of them? It is not like anyone is going to notice if you have lost or gained a few hundred grams, but the effect it can have on your mood is immeasurable.
I now notice the love my Mum puts into the food she creates. For my Mum eating her food meant I loved her and by me not eating it meant I didn’t. From now on the choice is always obvious.
